A small collection of receipts, orders, articles of agreement, deeds, bonds, bills of sale, accounts, and other documents relating to Daniel Lockwood and his wife Margaret. Several items relate to real estate. There is an order about laying out a highway; it includes a small map. Lockwood received a license to keep a tavern and sell alcohol.

Daniel Lockwood and his wife Margaret lived in Marlboro, Ulster County, New York. They had sons named Lewis, Daniel, and Eli. Daniel was a laborer and a miller.
